Fascinația pentru Castelul lui Vlad Țepeș este inspirată din legenda Contelui Dracula. Vlad Țepeș, cunoscut și sub numele de Vlad Dracul sau Vlad cel Drag, a fost un lider temut și respectat, iar tactica sa de război și modul său de a administra justiția, au alimentat multe dintre miturile care îl învăluie. În jurul acestui castel sunt țesute numeroase legende, unele mai înfricoșătoare decât altele, care adaugă un plus de mister și de atracție pentru vizitatori.

Una dintre cele mai cunoscute legende este aceea conform căreia Vlad Țepeș își vizita prizonierii noaptea, în timp ce aceștia erau ținuți într-un beci întunecat al castelului, hrănindu-se cu sângele lor pentru a-și prelungi viața. De asemenea, se spune că în camerele secrete ale castelului se desfășurau ritualuri misterioase prin care se încerca atragerea forțelor întunecate pentru a proteja domeniul de dușmani.

The ground floor greets visitors with a welcoming lobby and a screening room where documentaries by the Manifest for Heritage Association illustrate the remarkable stages of the prince’s life. A special detail is the souvenir shop, offering the opportunity to keep tangible memories of the visit.

The second floor opens with an exhibition by renowned artist Valentin Tanase, featuring artworks inspired by the life and reign of Vlad Tepes. The exhibits range from paintings to sculptures, creating an immersive atmosphere. In the same room, visitors can admire the voivode’s personal belongings and an impressive life-size bust.

The top level, the third floor, is devoted to the reconstruction of the throne room, where realistic figures of the ruler, boyars, ladies, ladies-in-waiting, soldiers and Turkish soldiers complete the historical scene, offering a unique perspective of Vlad Tepes’ court.
