Inaugurated on December 1, 2023, Dracula Castle is a necessary point of attraction on the itinerary of every tourist who is looking for the truth about Vlad Tepes. With tall towers and ramparts, this medieval fortress takes you back in time, offering a glimpse into the region's tumultuous history.
Dracula Castle represents the first large-scale permanent exhibition dedicated to the great Romanian duke.
Spread on 3 floors, Dracula Castle offers you a unique experience that includes watching films, an exhibition of documents and objects (replicas) from the time of Vlad Țepeș, a reenactment with mannequins of the Throne Room and the famous scene in which Vodă responds appropriately to the defiant Turkish soldiers, an exhibition of graphics signed by Valentin Tănase as well as a series of photographs recreating key moments in the voivode's life.
Dracula's Castle is shrouded in the mystery of the ruler Vlad Tepes, known as "Dracula". The origin of the vampire stories about Vlad the Impaler seems to be the novel by the Irish writer Bram Stoker, published in 1897.
